Position Details

This is an entry-level, non-exempt Human Resource Administrator position located in Fenton, Missouri. The starting salary is $55,000 annually. This role is designed for individuals who are early in their HR career and want to gain broad exposure to Human Resources administration, onboarding, benefits support, HRIS administration, and employee programs

 

Responsibilities Include:

HR Administration and HRIS

  • Process new hires, terminations, transfers, promotions, compensation changes, and other employee transactions in the HRIS.
  • Maintain accurate and complete electronic and paper employee records.
  • Monitor HR processes and follow up with employees and managers regarding missing information or documentation
  • Conduct routine HRIS and payroll audits to identify and correct discrepancies.
  • Prepare recurring employee reports, lists, and departmental correspondence.
  • Process employment verifications and respond to routine information request
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information

 

Pre-Employment:

  • Prepare offer letters and other pre-employment documentation.
  • Initiate and monitor background checks, drug screenings, and other pre-employment requirements.
  • Coordinate interview schedules and communicate with candidates when requested.
  • Maintain applicant and new-hire documentation.
  • Ensure required pre-employment activities are completed before an employee’s start date.

 

Onboarding and Employee Changes:

  • Coordinate the administrative new-hire process from accepted offer through the employee’s first day
  • Enter new employees into applicable systems and notify appropriate internal departments.
  • Prepare new-hire materials, welcome bags, identification materials, and other onboarding items.
  • Assist with new-hire orientation logistics
  • Process employee status changes and termination documentation.
  • Coordinate the return of company property and completion of administrative offboarding requirements.

 

Benefits and Leave Support:

  • Provide employees with routine benefits information and direct more complex questions to the HR & Benefits Generalist
  • Process benefits enrollment information and employee changes as assigned.
  • Maintain supporting documentation for benefits, leave, and workers’ compensation administration.
  • Assist with open enrollment communications, materials, meetings, and data entry
  • Support benefits and payroll audits.

 

Department and Employee-Experience Support

  • Process HR invoices and maintain related records
  • Prepare birthday, anniversary, recognition, and other recurring employee lists. 
  • Coordinate gift cards, employee recognition items, and departmental supplies.
  • Assist with company events, employee lunches, volunteer activities, and recognition programs.
  • Provide reception coverage when needed.
  • Perform other administrative duties necessary to support the HR department.

Required Training & Education:

  • College degree nice to have.
  • HR experience nice to have.
