Over the last fifty years, we’ve been guided by the same philosophy: the customer comes first. From the day that Fred Brown Sr. purchased his first company to today, under the leadership of his son, we’ve always treated our clients and vendors like a part of our family.
The IFPC Company Timeline
1974 - 1983
- Fred Brown Sr. Purchases International Distributing
- We become a national starch distributor
1984 - 1993
- Our Kansas City, MO office opens.
- Expand our vegetable oil offerings
- We purchase Prairie Street Liquid plant and form International Sweeteners.
- Purchase the Coca Cola plant on Virginia Street in St. Louis, MO.
- Our Virginia Street plant starts packaging oil.
- We start packing granulated and powdered sugar.
- International Distributing becomes International Food Products.
1994 - 2003
- International Sweeteners merges with International Food Products.
- We sell over 200 million pounds of sugar.
- We purchase Dairy House Ingredient Systems.
2004 - 2013
- Dairy House begins selling stabilizers.
- We are named Distributor of Distinction for Outstanding Sales of specialty starches. Also, move into our new corporate office in Fenton, MO.
- Clayton Brown becomes CEO.
- Add flour to our growing list of ingredient offerings.
- We begin selling fine ingredients.
- International Food Products and Dairy House announce merger.
2014 - Present
- Complete construction on the Aviator distribution center, production and quality assurance facility.
- International Food Products rebrands as IFPC.
- IFPC launches our brand of sweetener systems, Legacy™SWEET.
- IFPC launches our brand of texturizer systems, Legacy™TEX.
