We are currently looking for a Risk Analyst for International Food Products Corporation. This position is located within the Fenton area. The role of the Risk Analyst is to assist with the daily measurement of and adherence to risk limits while also engaging in the development of our risk infrastructure including policy, electronic tools, techniques, and communications.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Become an expert in identifying where market risk exists in each of our businesses
  • Become an expert in the techniques we use to measure market risk
  • Become an expert in the electronic tools we use, and the information flows that enable ongoing “real-time” risk analysis
  • Become an expert in our policies for risk management and carry out those responsibilities associated with the Risk Analyst role
  • Provide daily oversight of risk positions and their calculations and inputs
  • Carry out prescribed tasks and follow authority protocols for positions that fall outside of allowable limits
  • Work directly with sources of information and position holders to ensure all data is current, complete, and accurate
  • Carry out responsibilities for meetings, and periodic position reviews
  • Work closely with the Manager of Financial Reporting and Analysis, Vice President of Purchasing and Risk Management, Systems Developer and IT in the development and introduction of new electronic tools and platforms
  • Work closely with the Risk Committee in the development and implementation of policy
  • Work closely with all commercial stakeholders in the ongoing identification and measurement of new and changing risks
  • Follow authority protocols and chain of command in communicating and carrying out tasks associated with risk oversight
  • Take on additional responsibilities as assigned

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:

  • College Education required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or Agriculture preferred
  • CPA or audit experience a plus
  • 5+ years of experience related to agricultural commodities, merchandising, hedging, or grain settlement
  • Very strong analytical skills
  • Strong communication, presentation, influencing & problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, policy, and precision
  • Demonstrated independent work history
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office products
  • Familiarity with programming languages or technology is a plus
