The Employee Benefits Package is an important part of the employee’s compensation package at The International Companies. The following summary highlights International’s employee benefit programs.

Life & Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance through Anthem BlueCrossBlueShield and The Guardian. This coverage provides a $40,000 life and $40,000 AD&D benefit. Coverage begins on the first of the month following 30 days of employment provided you have completed and returned the application forms.
This benefit is provided at no cost to you.

Long Term Disability (LTD) Insurance through The Guardian. This benefit provides you with 60% of your income after you have been disabled for a 90-day qualifying period. You are eligible for LTD coverage on the first of the month following 1 year of employment. This benefit is provided at no cost to you.

Short Term Disability through The Guardian. This benefit provides you with 60% of your salary to a maximum of $1250/week for up to 12 weeks for a qualifying illness or injury. You are eligible for this coverage on the first of the month following 1 year of employment. This benefit is provided at no cost to you.

Supplemental Life Insurance through The Guardian. You may purchase additional insurance for you and your dependents at low group rates. The premiums are paid through payroll deductions and the coverage is portable if you should leave the company. You must enroll in this coverage within 30 days of your employment date to receive the guarantee issue amount. It becomes effective on the first of the month following 30 days of employment or upon approval.

Medical & Prescription Drug Coverage is provided by Anthem BlueCrossBlueShield of Missouri. You are eligible for this benefit on the first of the month following 30 days of employment provided you have completed & returned the Anthem BCBS enrollment form. The employee and company share the cost with the employee paying 25% and International paying 75%. The current employee cost per pay is $44.00 for employee only, $140.00 for employee and spouse, $130.00 for employee and child(ren) and $155.00 per pay for family coverage. Currently the plan has a $1500 deductible per person up to three people in the family. However, the Company reimburses $750.00 per person or $2250.00 per family, thus the deductible is only $750.00 per person or, $2,250 a family of three or more.

Prescription Drugs. This program is administered by WellPoint NextRx. You will pay a co-pay for prescription drugs provided you have your prescriptions filled at one of the participating pharmacies. The current co-pay is $10.00 for generic, $30.00 for preferred brand names, and $50.00 for non-preferred brands. You will receive additional savings by purchasing a 3 month supply through mail orders. In most locations prescriptions for Generic Drugs can be filled at local retailers such as Wal-Mart for $4.00.

Dental & Orthodontia Coverage is provided by The Guardian. This coverage is provided at no charge when you enroll in Medical & Prescription Drug Coverage. You may go to the dentist of your choice. The plan pays 100% Reasonable & Customary of preventive services that includes two dental checkups and cleanings per year. After a $50 deductible the plan pays a percentage of basic services and major services to an annual maximum of $1000. If you live in an area that has The Guardian participating dentists, you will not be subject to the $50.00 deductible and basic services may be paid at a higher percentage. Orthodontia coverage is provided to children only paying 50% of the charges with a $1000 lifetime benefit. Orthodontia is subject to a separate $100.00 deductible. Dental coverage is included in cost of health insurance. You may carry dental coverage without health insurance. Single Dental is $10.00 pay and or Family Dental only is $20.00 per pay.

Vision Insurance is provided by Eye Med. This is a voluntary benefit. Some highlights are eye exam once every 12 months, Frames once every 24 months and Standard Plastic OR Contacts once every 12 months. The current employee cost per pay is: Employee Only $2.75; Employee + Spouse $5.23; Employee + Child(ren) $5.50; Family coverage $8.09. Coverage is effective first of the month following 30 days of employment.

Savings Plan (401k)
International’s 401k Plan is managed by Fidelity Investments and allows you to invest your contributions in your choice of several Fidelity funds including the Freedom Funds. You can contribute a percentage of your pay tax-deferred or after tax through a Roth 401(k). Employees are eligible to participate on the first of the month following 60 days of service. International matches 50% of the employee contribution up to 6% which equates to a 3% pre-tax contribution.

401k Automatic Enrollment Contribution
New employees are eligible to participant in the plan the first of the month following 60 days of employment. They will automatically be enrolled in the 401k with 2% of their gross wages deducted from their pay on a pre-tax basis. This money, along with the company match, will be deposited in an appropriate Freedom Fund in their 401k Account. Fidelity will send enrollment materials including information on this benefit directly to the employee’s home. Employees may opt out of this benefit.

Profit Sharing Plan
At the end of each Fiscal Year International may make a profit sharing contribution into each eligible employee’s Savings & Profit Sharing Plan account. The contribution is a percentage of annual pay and is determined by the overall profitability of the company for the year. These funds are also invested with Fidelity Investments in the funds of your choice and are subject to a six-year vesting schedule. You are eligible to participate in the profit sharing program on the first of the month following 12 months service.

Company Paid Holidays
The Company recognizes 9 holidays each year. They are New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. Full-time employees are paid for these holidays. (Non-exempt employees must be employed for 90 days to be eligible for holiday pay.)

Paid Time Off (PTO) – Full-time Non-exempt employees receive Paid Time Off to use for vacation, personal issues and temporary absences due to illness, etc. Each January 1st eligible employees receive an amount of hours based on years of services. The schedule is: First full year calendar year through year seven – 112 hours, After 7 years through year 12 – 152 hours, After 12 years, onward – 192 hours. If hired prior to July 1 of the year you will receive 32 hours PTO. You must be employed for 90 days prior to taking PTO.

Vacation - Full-time Exempt employees receive vacation pay. Each January 1st eligible employees receive an amount of hours based on years of service. The schedule is: First full calendar year through year seven – 80 hours, After 7 years through year 12 – 120 hours, After 12 years, onward – 160 hours. In addition to vacation time, exempt employees receive up to six paid sick days per year.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Work Life Matters is International’s EAP provider. This program provides confidential, professional assistance to employees and members of their family to resolve problems that affect personal life or job performance. Health & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Plans
Flex Plans allow you to set aside, through payroll deduction, pre-tax money to pay for unreimbursed health care costs and dependent care costs. Enrollment is held annually in December and is administered by The Take Care Plan.

Employee Referral Program – Employees may receive $200 for referring prospective employees to the company if they are hired. The referring employee will receive $20 on the new employees start day and, once the new employee successfully completes 90 days of service $180.00 is paid through the payroll system.
